The HQ operational confrontation is based on deployable Command Posts (CPs). Therefore the Command and Control (C2) and associated CPs will be changing depending the type of deployment (LCC or Corps) and the structure of the HRF HQ to be replaced in the theatre. The HQ will normally use a Main CP, a Rear CP and a Rear Support Command (RSC). In addition, when the situation dictates will deploy smaller CPs to undertake a variety of roles, such as the Step-up, the Tactical and the Early Entry.

According to NATO requirements and under SACEUR’s strategic guidance, the headquarters will be available for all Article 5 missions and Non-Article 5 missions on a case by case basis, with up to five (5) major subordinate formations and necessary Combat Support (CS) and Combat Service Support (CSS) Units.
HQ NRDC-GR as an HRF (L) HQ is to be ready to rapidly deploy, as Corps or Land Component Command HQ or Task Force HQ, to a designated area of operations when authorised by the NAC under NATO command in order to conduct or sustain combined and Joint land centric operations across the operational spectrum for collective defense of NA5CRO (Non Article-5 Crisis Response Operation).
