Commander of NATO Rapid Deployable Corps – Greece (NRDC-GRC) Lieutenant General Dimitrios BIKOS, welcomed in the Headquarters’ premises the Commander of NRDC-ITA Lieutenant General Roberto PERRETTI, who paid an official visit, on Thursday, July 13th, 2017.
The visit took place on the occasion of the NATO Strategic Direction – South Conference that took place in Thessaloniki, Greece, on 11 and 12 July 2017, which brought together a range of military and civilian experts, both inside and outside NATO.
After an official ceremony in the premises of NRDC-GR, a briefing delivered to the distinguished visitor in the HQ’s main planning conference room, regarding the structure, role and mission of the Headquarters as well as the upcoming challenges on the way ahead to NRDC-GR transition to Joint Headquarters (JHQ).
Lieutenant General Roberto PERRETTI during his visit congratulated NRDC-GR staff for the excellent organization of the NSD-S conference occurred over the last two days and praised the Commander for the significant milestones achieved by NRDC-GR the last years. The two Generals agreed on examining further areas of common interest for the future to enhance the already notable cooperation between the two HQs.
After a ceremonial emblem exchange and a commemorative family photo in the Landmark of NRDC-GR HQ, the distinguished visitor had a tour to the HQ facilities, including the Deployable Digital Printery and the Deployable Air Operations Coordination Center, unique capabilities among NATO community.
