NRDC-GR conducts the “Legal Contribution to NATO Operations Planning Process” Seminar 2020

From 4 to 7 Feb 2020, NATO Rapid Deployable Corps-Greece (NRDC-GR) HQ conducted the LEGAL Seminar 2020 in its premises, with speakers and participants from NATO Command Structure (NCS) HQs, NATO Force Structure (NFS) HQs, Ministries of Defense of Croatia, Estonia, MND-SE, Hellenic National Defense General Staff, International Organizations (ICRC), Aristotle University, Democritios University and also students from the Hellenic Military Academies.

The seminar was designed to illustrate the main legal challenges that legal advisors and military planners face in the context of NATO operations planning process.

In the context of the new assigned role as Multi-Corps LCC, the successful conduct of the seminar strengthened the functions of legal planning as an important tool that both guarantees the legitimacy of the mission and, at the same time, contributes to the “legal confrontation” of the increased asymmetric threats in a challenging security environment.
