On July 15th, 2019, NATO Rapid Deployable Corps-Greece (NRDC-GR) celebrated the French National Day, the Bastille Day. The Commander of NRDC-GR, Lieutenant General Konstantinos KOUTRAS and the entire HQ staff, warmly welcomed the distinguished guests, including the Consul General of France, Philippe RAY, who honored the ceremony with his presence along with other French invitees.

From 25th June to 5th of July 2019, the final phase of Exercise “GORDIAN KNOT 2019” of NATO Rapid Deployable Corps-Greece (NRDC-GR) took place in the wider area of Thessaloniki. The aim of the exercise, in which staff from other NATO members also participated, was to maintain the operational capabilities of NATO-GR.

On June 21st, 2019, NATO Rapid Deployable Corps-Greece (NRDC-GR) celebrated in advance the Romanian National Flag Day whose actual anniversary is June 26th. On June 4th 2019, a delegation from “Georgi Stoykov Rakovski” National Defense College of Bulgaria paid an official visit to NATO Rapid Deployable Corps – Greece (NRDC-GR) HQ.

The team which consisted of 9 Officers was briefed regarding the structure, role and mission of the HQ as well as the challenges during the stand by period as a Joint Task Force (JTF) HQ and the upcoming ones as a Multi Corps (MC) Land Component Command (LCC), according to the NATO’s Long Term Commitment Plan (LTCP).
